Hello school – AD 2009! A handful of tips for Persona 3 Reload
Persona 3 Reload is probably the easiest way to get into this popular series. But even when playing a fully translated title, some gameplay nuances become clear too late to fully enjoy this great title. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of playing!
If you’re reading this before launching Persona 3 Reload for the first time , great! In this material, I will try to avoid any major plot spoilers, and at the same time I will try to provide a pill of knowledge, without which you might be wondering halfway through the game whether to start over.
Social statistics
There are three main categories of social stats in Persona 3 . Their development means that many paths open up to you or remain closed for a long time . The game doesn’t say this, but the best time to collect as many social stat points as possible (maximum 6) is at the beginning of the game itself.
Why at the beginning? During the first two months of the game’s action, not much happens. This is the moment when there is time to develop the character without the later dilemma of what to develop at the beginning. How important are these social statistics? Even very important. Some characters will enter into deeper interaction with us only when we have a given statistic developed to the maximum.
And yet, the development of a subsequent relationship also takes time. In the second part of the game, there is less and less of it due to the increasingly wider range of available activities… and most of them are important. How to gain Courage, Enchantment and Science?
By far the best activity is working part-time at Chagall Coffee, because you earn money (also important) and Courage and Enchantment points at the same time in one go. But in the first months, it is worth considering even cramming lessons alone in your room in the evenings (for Learning points).
Relationship Development – Naganaki Temple
I would say that developing bonds, next to “gluing” Personas, is the main goal of this series of games. The bond between the hero and the selected character increases numerous stats. Which means that the more relationships at the highest level, the stronger our character becomes.
An important note here, not all relationships are romantic. Yes, there is no shortage of romantic threads in Persona 3 and it is difficult to choose the most interesting one, but practically every relationship can be developed to the maximum. By simply offering the person friendship instead of love.
While developing relationships, you gain “stars”, you can get a maximum of 10 of them. And you get them for meetings with a given character and various interactions. But there may be a situation where “just” meeting a given character is not enough to deepen the relationship. Then we have three options . Or we wait for a random or plot event that will push us further.
Or we do nothing. However, then we lose time to develop the relationship, so this is the worst solution. OR! We’re going to Naganaki Temple ! Unfortunately, this element is not very intuitive and is easy to miss.
And this is a place that makes the job much easier when it comes to developing relationships. When, in your relationship with a character, you reach the point where you receive a message that says “I doubt that me and this character will strengthen our bond…” just go to the temple during the day (the temple is usually closed in the evenings) and approach it. to the prediction board.
Then, just pay (that’s why it’s worth having an adequate supply of cash) and choose the development of the relationship that interests you at a given moment. Knowing this technique makes building relationships much easier and faster.
Other tips
The two tips mentioned above are quite crucial, and they are not suggested very clearly by the game. To sum up, it may happen that without knowledge of these two techniques, we will simply run out of time to develop the character and we will not be able to “accelerate” it for good, and the game will be over.
Of the remaining tips I can give, there are still a few nuances. Firstly. If possible, complete as many of Elizabeth’s quests as possible and talk to her every time you visit Tartarus. You will receive Twilight Fragments from her, which can be used to open chests with the most valuable loot. So it’s worth it!
If on a given day you have the opportunity to develop an activity with a SPOE member (i.e. people from your team) – do it! Regardless of whether it is making tea or shopping together with a conversation. Once you develop your character to the appropriate level, your companions’ personas will evolve into even more powerful ones. Or more powerful attacks will be made available to you. It’s worth it!
Persona 3 Reload – have fun!
I will not hide. I still prefer the 5th one, but it’s simply a more developed title than the 3rd one and there’s more of everything. And sentiment, because I started my “personal” adventure with the fifth grade.
However. I’m having just as much fun with the third one, and getting to know the world of teenagers in 2009 is just pure pleasure! I won’t hide the fact that I was a teenager myself at that time and everything that defined those times – internet cafes, the popularity of teleshopping or flip phones, are simply memories of my young years. It’s hard to beat such nostalgia!
But there will be a separate note about the world presented in Persona 3 Reload, so let’s not anticipate the facts! I hope that my tips will make the game more enjoyable for you.
